Sunflower Quilling Card – A Little Sunshine Instead of Snowflakes

I just couldn't bring myself to make snowflakes that year. I wasn't really in the mood for winter at all. I wanted sunshine, warmth and bright colors instead—maybe because I never managed to take a proper summer holiday.

So, instead of making winter cards, I decided to make myself a little sunshine in the form of a handmade sunflower card.

This 3D paper quilling card features bright yellow sunflowers and green leaves, with soft lace and a warm rustic touch added to the background. I used colorful quilling strips to create the flowers and foliage, giving the card a cheerful, summery feel.

I really enjoy making quilled sunflowers because they instantly bring warmth and energy to a project. This card is another one of my early sunflower designs and a reminder that handmade cards don't always have to follow the season.

Sometimes, when everyone is making snowflakes, you simply need a little sunshine instead.
