Personalized Wedding Card with Quilled Bicycle and Monogram

This personalized paper quilling wedding card was created around a special symbol for the newly married couple — a bicycle. I combined the detailed quilled bicycle with a romantic heart-shaped monogram, handmade flowers, and the Polish greeting “Szczęścia na nowej drodze życia!” (“Happiness on your new path of life!”).

The main violet flower is one of the most distinctive elements of the design. Its petals are made using pin-husking, arranged in multiple layers to create a full, dimensional flower. The delicate texture comes from crimped 1 mm paper strips, which give the petals a fine, almost lace-like appearance. Coral buds and pale green quilled leaves complete the floral arrangement.

At the center of the card, the detailed quilled bicycle has a soft purple frame, fine paper wheels and spokes, and a small basket filled with coral flowers and greenery. Around it, white on-edge quilling forms the couple's “K & M” monogram and a large heart outline. A simple fishtail banner below the design carries the wedding greeting.

I like how the bicycle gives this handmade wedding card a personal story rather than being purely decorative. The combination of pin-husking flowers, crimped paper strips, on-edge lettering, and the bicycle motif makes this a good example of how different paper quilling techniques can be combined in one personalized design.
