Quilled Wedding Cards with Florist-Style Flower Arrangements: 2018 Collection

The heart is probably the most popular symbol on wedding cards, and I love to make it with paper quilling. In this post, I show you three quilled wedding cards, each with a heart frame made with the on-edge technique. The paper strips stand on their sides, so the heart has a clean, delicate line and a little depth. Every card has a different mood, but all of them are in soft, romantic colors, and all of them were made to order for couples who trusted me to choose the flowers.

The first card, for Agata and Dawid, is in peach and pistachio green. The mint green heart sweeps around the card, and in the left corner there is a big starburst flower in warm peach with pearl centers. Around it, I placed open quilled leaves, small sprigs, and little pastel yellow blossoms, with a soft coral paper underneath.

The second card, for Anna and Arkadiusz, is built on a cream background with a floral embossed pattern. The light green heart is decorated in two opposite corners with lush, layered paper quilling flowers in coral and peach. Next to them, there are crisp white fringed daisies and fine quilled leaves, so the whole composition looks light and elegant.

The third card, for Patrycja and Rafał, is the most symmetrical one, like a small botanical wreath. The pale green heart is covered with clusters of husked flowers in light peach and pastel orange, with tiny white blossoms between them. The colors here are a bit sunnier, with some butter yellow in the mix.

On all three cards, there is a white banner across the heart with a personal wedding wish, written in beautiful script. Quilling names and dates are very important to me because they make each quilled card unique and a wedding keepsake that the couple will keep for many years.

If you are looking for quilling ideas or quilling designs for your own cards, the heart frame is a great place to start, because it is simple but always looks special. You can change the flowers and colors, but the on-edge heart will make any card feel romantic. I hope these paper crafts inspire you to try it yourself!
