Baby Shower Card with Quilled Baby Footprints

Hello, friends! Today I am taking a little break from my sunflower cards to show you something sweet: a quilled baby shower card for a future mom. 

To be honest, I had never heard of a baby shower before, so when a good friend asked me for one, I had to ask Google for help. It turns out to be a lovely tradition, where friends gather to celebrate a pregnant woman and bring gifts for the baby. This card is for a boy, so I chose stars as the main theme.

I used half a sheet of scrapbooking paper from the Polish Galeria Papieru collection “Singin’ in the Rain”, and the star die-cuts were a gift from my friend. The main paper quilling element is a pair of tiny baby feet, made from blue paper strips with small coils for the toes. Around them, I added simple quilled flowers in soft blue and cream, because I wanted quilling flowers that look gentle, not heavy. Lace borders (made with this punch - Craftelier - Doily Edges with Small Flowers Border Punch for Scrapbooking) and zigzag hand-stitching finish the design without too much decoration.

There is not a lot of quilling on this card, but I tried to keep this paper craft cute and simple. I hope the client and the new mom will both like it. What do you think of this style? Please tell me in the comments!
