I called this composition “Golden Citrus Flowers”. I created this quilled floral wreath using warm yellow, amber and orange tones, balanced with white flowers and fresh mint-green foliage. The soft off-white background keeps the colours bright while giving the whole arrangement a light, airy feel.
For the orange flowers, I used straight, smooth paper strips instead. Their clean, open petals create a beautiful contrast with the textured yellow blooms. I really like how the two types of flowers work together — both are airy and delicate, but their different textures give the arrangement more depth and visual interest. Small white pearls add a subtle finishing detail to some of the flower centres.
For the foliage, I used the leaf-making technique from my quilling tutorial -
Yellow Crimped Paper Quilling Flower Tutorial – Step by Step, creating structured paper leaves in different shades of green. The fresh green foliage balances the warm yellow and orange flowers and helps frame the composition.
This 3D paper quilling wreath combines pin-husking, crimped quilling and quilled foliage to create a dimensional floral arrangement. The contrast between the lace-like yellow flowers and the smooth orange petals is what gives Golden Citrus Flowers its distinctive character.
