Pink Floral Quilling Birthday Card – 5th Birthday Card for a Girl

This handmade 3D paper quilling birthday card was created for Tosia's 5th birthday. The design combines delicate pink flowers, fresh green foliage and a personalized number "5" in the centre.

The main element is a circular floral wreath made from quilled flowers, leaves and curling green tendrils. I used bright pink and soft coral flowers, each finished with a tiny yellow centre. Small pink buds and delicate fern-like sprigs fill the spaces between the larger flowers and give the wreath a natural, flowing look.

The pink and coral flowers are made using one of my own quilling techniques, where small triangular coils are used to create the petals. This gives the flowers a distinctive shape and allows me to create delicate, evenly formed five-petaled blossoms.

For the leaves, I used crimped paper strips, which add a fine textured effect to the open-work foliage. Combined with the curling tendrils, small buds and fern-like sprigs, the crimped leaves make the wreath look especially intricate and full of movement.

I love combining different quilling techniques and materials in one project. Mixing smooth coils, triangular petal shapes, crimped strips and delicate open-work elements creates textures and details that would be difficult to achieve with just one technique. I think this combination is what gives each of my paper quilling designs its own character.

This is a finished paper quilling inspiration project rather than a step-by-step tutorial. It shows how combining different quilling techniques, paper textures and personalized details can turn simple paper strips into a unique handmade birthday keepsake.
