Paper Quilling Sunflower Card – Handmade Name Day Greeting for Maria

This handmade paper quilling greeting card features a cheerful arrangement of golden sunflower-inspired flowers, delicate green leaves, and small red blossoms. The warm combination of yellow, green, red, and brown gives the card a bright, slightly autumnal feel.

What makes this design particularly intricate is the use of crimped 3 mm paper strips throughout the flowers and foliage. The petals, leaves, and flower centers are all built from these textured strips, creating a delicate, almost lace-like effect. The crimping adds fine texture and makes the quilled elements look light, detailed, and slightly three-dimensional.

The floral arrangement is framed with red-and-white polka-dot paper and finished with a green plaid banner across the center. The personalized Polish greeting “Najlepsze życzenia imieninowe dla Marii” means “Best wishes for Maria's name day.”

I love how the textured paper strips transform a simple floral arrangement into something much more intricate. The combination of crimped quilling, warm colors, and personalized lettering makes this handmade name day card a unique little keepsake.
